Order of Events

Meet Line-Ups:

A Meet line-ups will be determined by the coaches who will select the strokes and events for each individual swimmer. Swimmers and families will declare their availability for upcoming A Meets no later than the Thursday morning prior to the A meet.

Line-ups for the A Meets will be posted Friday morning. 

B Meet line-ups will be chosen by the swimmers and families after consulting with coaches. Swimmers and families will declare their availability and events for upcoming B Meets no later than the Tuesday morning prior to the B meet.

Missing a Meet:

If a swimmer cannot attend a meet (will be unavailable on a Wednesday or Saturday) the swimmer and family should declare the swimmer unavailable from that meet as soon as the meet is open for sign up, or as soon as the family learns the swimmer is unavailable, whichever comes later.

Annual Meet Schedule

Time Trials

An intra-squad practice meet for swimmers and volunteers that is used to get base times for the swimmers and to see how the volunteers do with their jobs.

A Meets

These are 5 Saturday morning league sanctioned and scheduled Dual Meets, each swum against a different team in our Division.

B Meets

These are 4 or 5 Wednesday evening practice meets for all swimmers to try and better their times for A Meets. Not league sanctioned, and swum with another pool in any Division. Schedules are agreed to by the two pools.

Divisionals

This is the league sanctioned end of season championship meet between all 6 teams in our Division.

Relay Carnival

This is the league sanctioned, mid-season (usually swum on a Sunday), meet between all 6 teams in our Division that features an all relay schedule.

Coach's Long Course Meet

This is a league sanctioned and run mid-season (Tuesday evening) all star invitational meet that features swimmers from across the 90 pools in MCSL.  Swimmers qualify by having one of the top 8 times in the league through the first 3 A Meets. Distances are doubled and swum in an Olympic length pool at the Rockville Swim Center.

Relay All Stars

This is a league sanctioned and run end of season all star invitational meet that features swimmers from across the 90 pools in MCSL. Relay teams qualify by coming in 1st place at Relay Carnival and/or Divisionals. Also swum at the Rockville Swim Center.

Individual All Stars

This is a league sanctioned and run end of season all star invitational meet that features swimmers from across the 90 pools in MCSL. Swimmers qualify by having one of the top 16 times in the league through the 5 A meets plus Divisionals. Also swum at the Rockville Swim Center.
